Projects One of New York City’s outstanding apartment buildings, the Verona was designed by William Mobray and erected in 1908. Based loosely on Alberti’s great cinquecento Florentine Palazzo Rucellai, each floor of Mobray’s building was originally laid out for 2 gracious residences of some 5,000 square. This renovation re-constituted the 2nd floor apartment facing Madison Avenue, which had been sub-divided into 2 separate apartments. The result netted a layout including 4 Bedrooms, 4 and ½ Baths, an eat-in Kitchen/Butler’s Pantry, Dining Room, Living Room, Library, and Parlor.
